Yay for sex! :)

Wow, I just need to share this.
I felt draggy yesterday (AF is around the corner so I am not worried) so I convinced DH that I need some "help" (It was easy to convince him lol). He "helped" me twice yesterday and today morning...wow. Nobody ever could tell I have POP.

I am truly amazed. Okay, with 3 kids, 2 nurslings and some light depression b/c of POP and the worry that sex can do more damage we rarely had sex in the last 8 months. But after reading STWWs sex chapter, I am relieved.

Cool, huh?

chocolate

Jackie...I saw your post about chocolate before I had to leave for a day filled with meetings...can't find it now, sorry! Chocolate and sugar both drive the adrenals, the cortisol from which significantly affects most cells that participate in immune or inflammatory responses - especially white blood cells. I was never sensitive to chocolate until very recently and now must avoid it entirely - I used to make balls of ground sesame and honey dusted with chocolate powder. No more. Doesn’t chocolate kill dogs and does anyone know why? C.

Another new recruit

Hello all,

I am now 10 weeks pp with my second beautiful daughter and have been lurking here as a guest for the last 6 weeks. Just wanted to say how helpful I've found reading your posts and realising that I'm not alone in feeling the wave of emotions that go with discovering you have a POP - devastation, worry about it getting worse, about having sex, lifting children, exercising etc...

Any runners out there?

I am just curious if any of you ladies (particularly those of you with postpartum cystoceles...) have resumed running since your diagnoses. My doctor told me I will be able to run again after several more weeks of healing. If there are any runners out there I would love to hear your experiences--I certainly don't want to make things worse!

By the way, I am just 6 weeks pp and don't plan on doing anything but walking for a loooong time--just trying to mentally prepare for the future!

MY POLYP FELL OFF!!!

I just got out of the bath and my cervix is smooth, closed AND NO POLYP!!! That was the source of the hamburger chunks and small amount of bright red blood!! I believe I saw it last night, but it was covered with t.p. and I wasn’t going to go fishing to check out a bit of endometrium.

I am confused

This is the first time I have used this forum so I hope I am using it correctly. Can someone help me without being horrendouly technical. I am concerned about the response to FAQ no 39 where the answer seems to sugget that if one has had a hysterectomy there is no point in doing the exercises on the DVD as this 'method' won't work. Not sure what the 'method' is exercies or aomething ele. There is also somewhere, can't remember where, to the effect that a hysterectomy takes away part of the inside supporting framework and this is why exercise achieves little.

anatomy question

Sorry for not knowing this...
But is the bladder above the pubic bone?

Does the urethra run down behind the bone then?

I'm trying to understand what my fleshy bulge is... the vaginal wall sagging a bit as it seems to becoming from right behind the pubic bone.

I've had a major emotional set back in the last two days. I tossed the mirror in the garbage and ordered the book.

I want to believe this will heal and life will go one. Right now I am frozen in fear. So many women really have this and don't even know???

Does it get better (emotionally)?

Hi everyone, I am a brand new member and was hoping to get your collective experience about the emotional side of prolapse. I am 27 years old and almost 6 weeks postpartum with my first baby girl. She is beautiful and I love her so much. Unfortunately, the other day I decided to take a look at how things were healing up down there after the long pushing phase, episiotomy, and vacuum delivery. I saw the infamous "bulge" and called my doctor. My checkup isn't for another 2 weeks, and she thought it sounded fine and not to worry. Of course, it didn't take long to make a self-diagnosis!

Green Coffee Oil

Hi, I have been wondering if there would be something that we could drink or eat that could help the ligaments and fascia regain some strenght. I did some research on Pubmed (go to pubmed.com and type 'green coffee collagen' as keywords) and found a recent article saying that green coffee oil stimulates synthesis of collagen and elastin in cultured cells. It doesn't mean it would do the same in a human body but that would be great!
